Planning template
Plan one working day in five minutes: what must be done today, what should be, what can wait, and what is stuck on someone else.
No account and no email needed. Opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
Four groups that force a decision about today rather than listing everything you own, plus a morning check and an end-of-day carry-over already written in. Waiting on someone is a group of its own, because chasing is work too.
Most days are planned by whatever arrived most recently. Email sets the agenda, the important work slides to tomorrow, and by evening it is hard to say what the day was actually spent on.
What that looks like
People who plan day by day rather than by sprint, and anyone whose day is broken up by interruptions.
Group is the priority for today: Must do today, Should do today, If there is time and Waiting on someone. Status and priority already use the product's own fixed values, so they map without edits.

Mixed, and heavily consumer: much of the demand is printable and paper planners. This template is written for a working day with owners and statuses.

Because a must-do list longer than three is a wish list. The cap forces the decision that makes the rest of the day work: what actually has to happen before you stop.
Move it to tomorrow at the end of the day rather than deleting it. The end-of-day check in the template exists for exactly that, so the carry-over is a decision rather than an accident.
No. Keep one board and move tasks between the four groups. Set the morning check and end-of-day check to recur daily so they reappear on their own.
Yes. Time can be logged against a task, so you can see where the day went rather than guessing at the end of the week.
See time trackingEither. Used alone it is a personal day plan. Used by a team, assign owners and filter the board by person so everyone sees only their own day.
